360
Degree Assessment
What
is it?
360 Degree
Assessment is a process which enables you to compare how you see yourself
against the way others see you. This process looks at your knowledge,
skills, and behavior, and gives you important feedback that can help
you manage your development, your performance, and your career.
Why
do it?
360 Degree
Assessment can be used as part of an overall performance management
program, for personal and professional development, or as part of a
leadership development effort.
How
can we help?
EnVision
can help with the entire process, or any part along the way. Here
are the basic steps in the process:
-
The
company determines what competencies they wish to assess (we can
help you with this part, or you can use an existing set of competencies).
-
Survey
questions are written based on the identified competencies (we can
help you with this part, too).
-
You
complete the survey as a self-assessment.
- Surveys
are sent to:
- Your
supervisor
- Your
direct reports
-
Others
(could include peers, senior leaders, internal or external customers,
vendors, etc.)
-
Survey
results are compiled and you are presented with a report showing
you the results (we can manage this part for you if you wish).
-
You
will typically meet with someone other than your direct supervisor
to help you understand the results, provide some coaching, and help
you to develop an action plan.
-
The
process can be repeated after 6-12 months to measure progress.
